Types of Submissions
We are looking for book reviews, primary-source articles, well-documented contemporary articles addressing general Native or tribal-specific history, photos or links to photos, and links to high-quality tribal and tribal history websites. To be considered, your submission must meet the standards of our Mission. (See the Mission section for details.)
Articles
Articles must be submitted via email. Include all the text in the body of the email message. Let us know who is the author of the article and provide contact information for the author so we can obtain reprint permission.
Authors are given a byline within their article submission. All authors retain full copyright to their work. By submitting an article and providing reprint permission, you grant Native History Magazine the right to publish the article on this website as an educational resource in perpetuity. At present, the payment for original articles is the fame and glory of having your article and byline in electronic print.
Links
If you are submitting a link to NHM, please describe the content on the website. The site will be reviewed by our Editorial Board and will be considered for inclusion in our Resource Resources section. Please allow at least two weeks for the board members to review your site. Submitted links that are considered by the Editorial Board to be primarily links to sales or services will not be included as resource links. Requests for review of denials may be submitted via email. Native History Magazine does not link to Webrings.
